FIRSTS AMONGST EQUALS

As the issue of racism has sadly reared its ugly head again in recent months, this painting celebrates the achievements of black players who blazed a trail for others to follow. The outrageous treatment of Jack Leslie, by England’s selectors, meant that it would be nearly half a century before Viv Anderson would become the first black footballer to play for England in a full international in 1978.

Prints available in sizes 1000 x 700mm and 594 x 420mm.
All prints come numbered and signed by the artist, Bernard Kelly.
